It welcomes more than 200.000 worldwide tourists per year, which makes it one of the main tourist destinations in Spain. At present, Marbella is the home-town chosen by well-known and famous international artists such as Antonio Banderas & Melanie Griffith, Rod Stewart, Julio Iglesias, etc.

It has got excellent sport facilities: sailing, windsurfing, horse-riding, tennis, hang-gliding, volleyball, etc and it is only two hours way from the ski resort in Granada.

THE LANGUAGE SCHOOL

Our Spanish language school in Marbella was founded in 1988 and is located in one of the most emblematic and commercial areas of Marbella. Situated in the very centre of the city, 5 minute from the beach. It is also easily accessible by bus.

The school is situated on the top floor of a 3 storey building. There is a very large and sunny terrace of about 1.000 m2 with wonderful views to the city and the sea, where students can also take their Spanish lessons (specially in summer).

We offer 8 bright classrooms with a maximum of 8 students per class, a very large reception room, common room with snack and refreshment machine, computer room with internet access, audio-visual room, etc. All of them are equipped with air conditioning (cool and hot) in order to make the students stay as pleasant as possible.

Accommodation in shared flat
Several language students share a completely furnished flat in the vicinity of the school. You have the choice between single and double rooms. The kitchen, bathroom and living room are for common use.

Family accommodation
Living with a well-selected Spanish host family will enable you to see and learn everything about the Spanish lifestyle as well as our rich culture and traditions. You will eat Spanish food (at the same times that Spaniards eat), make friends, enjoy Spanish people and have an excellent opportunity to practise your newly acquired Spanish in real-life situations.

>> TEACHING METHODS

At our Spanish language school in Marbella we believe that real learning is not simply confined to memorising a series of facts isolated from their context and the surrounding world.

Our Spanish school wishes to immerse students in the Spanish life style and culture, through the most modern and effective teaching techniques (using role-plays, rhythm exercises, word games, etc.).

At the same time, we prepare students for real intercultural communication.

:: INTENSIVE COURSES

>> Course 20h
Daily: 4 lessons

From 10.10 - 13.50 this general Spanish course gives students the opportunity to improve their all-round ability in Spansh by focusing on grammar and vocabulary development, speaking, listening, and writing skills. Our aim is to increase the students confidence in the day-to-day use of the language.

>> Course 30h
Daily: 6 lessons

This programme combines the morning Standard Spanish course with a mini-group course from 16.00 – 17.50. The mini-group allows the tutor to focus on the immediate needs of the students whilst improving listening and speaking skills, expanding vocabulary and developing confidence.

>> LEVELS

At the beginning of the course a written and oral evaluation is made. On the basis of this each student is placed in the group which suits his or her level.

All levels are offered from Beginners to Advanced. We distinguish 6 levels of ability and work in small groups of 2 to 8 participants in order to enable you to learn in the most effective way. Our levels follow the European Framework of Reference for Languages and the guidelines of Instituto Cervantes.

Students completing their courses successfully will be granted the diploma and academic report which certifies the type of course, the number of hours studied and the level of proficiency attained.

:: TAYLOR MADE COURSES

This course is designed for students who require an intensive Spanish programme within a short time period. There is individualised study of grammar, conversation, listening, reading, writing and vocabulary, as well as any area of specific interest to the student (business, Spanish history, art, literature, etc).

>> Course 20+5h or 20+10h
Daily: 5 / 6 lessons

The standard course of 20 lessons per week in small groups, plus an extra 5 or 10 private classes a week. An intensive Spanish language course aimed at students with time restrictions or who want to deepen their knowledge in a particular area.

>> GUARANTEE OF QUALITY

Our language school in Marbella is an Accredited Centre by Instituto Cervantes. Our Spanish courses in Marbella are accredited with the CEELE, a main quality certification for Spanish as a foreign language.

:: SPECIAL COURSES

>> Preparation for D.E.L.E. - Exams
Daily: 5 lessons

The course consists of 20 lessons in group complemented by 5 individual lessons devoted to the specific study of the DELE.

The Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E) is the only official examination of Spanish for foreign students.

There are three levels: Initial, Basic and Superior, and the examinations can be taken at Instituto Cervantes centres worldwide, or in Spain in May and November.

>> Spanish + Culture
Daily: 5 lessons

20 Spanish lessons + 5 culture workshop. This module combines conversation, cultural topics and language review, depending on the participants needs and interests.
