Our Spanish language school in Santiago de Chile is situated at the base of the San Cristobal Hill, the biggest park in Santiago. We are located in the heart of the colourful bohemian district of Bellavista, in the center of Santiago. Since 1985 a profusion of restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, and small theaters have sprung up here. The neighborhood is a magnet for students, artists and craftsmen.
The school was founded in 1992 and offers spanish language courses at the school, family homestays and accommodation in boarding houses, hotels or apartments, assuring individual service in a friendly atmosphere.
All our Spanish teachers have long years of experience and are native spanish speakers with university degrees.

Santiago has a population of 5 million people and is located in the central valley at the foot of the Andes. It is a safe and modern city with good public transportation and a warm mediterranean climate with average summer daytime temperatures of 80-85 degrees (29 °C). In the evenings it cools off comfortably.
 Approximately two decades of uninterrupted economic growth have transformed Santiago into one of Latin America's most modern metropolitan areas, with extensive suburban development, dozens of shopping malls, and impressive high-rise architecture.
The city also boasts some of Latin America's most modern transportation infrastructure, such as the growing Santiago Metro and the new Costanera Norte, a toll-based highway system that passes below downtown and connects the Eastern and Western extremes of the city in a 25-minute drive. Santiago is headquarters to many important companies and is a regional financial center.
Within a day's travel of Santiago, you can visit Mount Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas, the vineyards, the beach, the best Chilean ski resorts or the picturesque harbor city of Valparaíso. The variety of cultural offerings is some of the best all of South America.
With our fieldtrip program and our excursions, we want to give our spanish students a deeper insight to the Chilean society. We offer a number of activities, at least one per week. Additionally, we have a welcome reception with empanadas and wine every Monday after the classes, and outings on Thursday night.
Field Trips:
- Visit of a vineyard with a wine tasting.
- The museum house of Pablo Neruda.
- Visit of the "Palacio Cousiño".
- Chat at the indianistic group and cultural center of CONACIN
 - Visit of the environmental NGO CODEFF.
- Visit of a proyect of KAIROS - social work against poverty.
- Visit of the Archeological Museum and walk to the Cerro Sta. Lucia.
- Visit of the Memorial of the victims of the Pinochet Dictatorship.
- Courses: Salsa & Tango
On the weekends, we organize excursions into the Andes, visiting National Parks and hot springs, or to the Pacific coast. Rafting, climbing courses, and trekking tours are also part of our extra activities.
Day Tours outside Santiago:
- Trekking in the Morado National Park in the Andes.
- Hot thermal water springs.
- La Campana National Park (Palm forest).
- Rafting.
- Central coast - Isla Negra, Valparaíso, Viña del Mar.
- Trekking to the Morado Glacier.
All accommodations are in a circle of less than 45 minutes distance from the school. Double rooms are only available for two persons travelling together except in the Hostel and Students Residence! Generally in Chile and in all lodging options especially those in private households like options Family-Homestays and Shared Apartments, it is not permitted to have overnight guests.
 We organize a charge free transfer from the Airport to the lodging if it is booked through us.
Shared Apartment
Single or double room, shared bathroom. Use of kitchen and washing machine, sheets, room cleaning. Mostly walking distance from school. Generally you share with one Chilean flat owner and maybe one ore more language students.
- Student-Residence:
We warmly recommend this new and very comfortable residence near the Centre of Santiago and just 4 Underground stops from the school away. Contact to real Chilean University students is guarantied.
The rooms are all fully furnished, have a sink, central heating and provide broadband Internet connection for an own computer in every room. The prices are more than convenient specially for 4 weeks periods and include the following services and facilities: Internet access, Breakfast from Monday to Friday, kitchen use, individual lockers for the food, weekly room cleaning service, one washing per week (5 Kg), common living room with cable TV, study room, daily press, and magazines.
- Homestay (hostfamily)
Another recommendation is a family Homestay. Our families are carefully selected and proofed to be excellent campaigners, which provide the student a insight in Chilean family life. Even when some of them live alone, their circle of family and friends will always be around offering possibility to interact in true social contexts. Best for practising the language and getting in touch with the people and culture. We have two options:

Near big Park “Quinta Normal”. 30 Minutes (15 by foot and 15 with Underground) to school and near our Student Residence. Good for students of mature age, which look for a cheap but more comfortable stay.
